Zoho Writer Lesson 17

It is exciting to be a "next generation web citizen"!  cool  I feel like I'm changing as quickly as that first video we all watched when we started 2.0 learning.  Everyday I go home with new ideas.

The only problem I've got at this point, is that everytime I try to Preview what I've done it kicks me off.  But in theory I like it.  But, being new citizen might be the problem I'm having.  We'll see.

Web-based Applications Lesson #16

I liked Netvibes. When I get these lessons done (and win my Ipod) I'm going to really get into these sites. Page Flakes also looks very interesting.

Rollyo - Lesson #11

This is very cool. I think this would certainly save time and sanity. Thanks for sharing this information.

Library Thing Lesson #10

Very interesting. If I had more time, it would be fun to explore. I can certainly see where heavy readers and librarians would love this site. As far as the second part of the exercise. It seems like extra work to me to have to remember all these different websites to get to different things that are supposed to make life easier. But if I had done the lessons sooner I would have had more time to really examine them closer. I did like the calendar site: 30 blocks. I can see how people who need to coordinate from a distance would find that very useful.

Tagging On Flickr

Learning about Tagging certainly has broadened my Flickr site. When I'm not crunched for time to complete all 21 lessons of 2.0 I will try to have 75 tags on at least one picture in Flickr. Just for fun.

Tagging

I've had to go out of order, due to Library Thing resting for 5 minutes. So, here we go on Tagging. I searched Kalmar, that's the first name in the title of my book "The Kalmar Nyckel - Johan's Honor". Google had 15,900,000. When I did Kalmar on the library search I got 1 (my book). My observations are that the EKU library doesn't have much in the way of titled books on the ship the Kalmar Nyckel. I do understand that I am a strange duck and my interest are very different from most people I know.

So, that's my thoughts on Tagging. Being someone that does research when I write historical fiction, tagging is very important. I've not been on the other end of tagging though. It certainly gives me a different insight into researching.

RSS Searches

I wasn't real comfortable with the search links. I do like the RSS Feeds concept and will certainly keep an eye out for the buttons.
