Tagging On Flickr

Learning about Tagging certainly has broadened my Flickr site. When I'm not crunched for time to complete all 21 lessons of 2.0 I will try to have 75 tags on at least one picture in Flickr. Just for fun.

Tagging

I've had to go out of order, due to Library Thing resting for 5 minutes. So, here we go on Tagging. I searched Kalmar, that's the first name in the title of my book "The Kalmar Nyckel - Johan's Honor". Google had 15,900,000. When I did Kalmar on the library search I got 1 (my book). My observations are that the EKU library doesn't have much in the way of titled books on the ship the Kalmar Nyckel. I do understand that I am a strange duck and my interest are very different from most people I know.

So, that's my thoughts on Tagging. Being someone that does research when I write historical fiction, tagging is very important. I've not been on the other end of tagging though. It certainly gives me a different insight into researching.

RSS Searches

I wasn't real comfortable with the search links. I do like the RSS Feeds concept and will certainly keep an eye out for the buttons.

RSS Feeds

I really like this way of getting information. Of course, the first website I wanted to have as part of my list, wasn't available, but another one was. I can certainly see how this could get out of hand.

Facebook

Well, I've done it. I have a dorky picture, but that's me what can I say.

Social Networking

My question about social networking is...

Why do we need to feel so connected to everyone in the world? What is lacking in society today that makes us want to connect with total strangers?

Maybe, I'm just a private person, happily exsisting in my own world. I do like the aspect of being able to communicate with family that may be distant from me. That part of it is fun and exciting.

I still hang on the thought of "who cares what I'm eating for breakfast?" And truthfully, I don't care what they are eating either.
